Let's talk about coffee tables. For most of us, coffee tables are a largely neglected decorating space and solely used as a place to house your collection of TV remotes. But, what we often don't realize is that a coffee table can be much more.

Coffee tables offer the perfect opportunity to display a mini gallery or showcase of sorts featuring either the items you love or a little "decorating moment." Maybe you want to show off your personal travel momentos from a recent trip to India or need a place to house your favorite reads. No matter what it is, a coffee table makes for a great place to arrange the things you love and make a space feel like yours. And the best part is that if you get bored in a few months or even a few days of the arrangement you've created, it's quick and easy to swap it out for something new.

Let's show you 5 easy ways to step up your style game and upgrade your coffee table to something much more than just a place to put the remote.

1. Set a Foundation

Start by laying a foundation with your larger decor items. Booksbowlstrays, and large vases will create a template for you to work around.

2. Add a Natural Element

Adding greenery or fresh flowers brings an essential dimension to your coffee table. It brightens up the space by adding height and texture.

5. Create Different Heights

Use decor to create different height levels on your coffee table. Books and boxes can be used to create a lower level, while vases, candle sticks, and greenery can be used for height.
